Garden Opening Times & Location

Merribee is located at 660 Comerong Island Road, Numbaa, NSW, 2540. This is on the South Coast of NSW (about 2 hours' drive from both Canberra and Sydney).

Entry/Tickets

Yes, you may purchase tickets upon your arrival at the door. Alternatively you can pre-purchase your tickets online.

Yes, so long as you are entering the venue on the same day as your original purchased tickets, you are welcome to switch time slots.

Unfortunately we don’t offer refunds. We will however allow you to use the ticket on an alternative open day within the next 6 months, providing you contact us in advance and let us know that you will not be able to attend.

No unfortunately not. We do however have a number of private group package options available. If you are interested in these, please fill out our enquiry form.

Yes. We offer $10 tickets for seniors with the exception of The Lavender Festival in Summer. 

Seniors card must be shown upon entry.

Yes. We offer $10 tickets for locals from post codes 2541/2540 only. Proof of postcode must be shown upon entry. (This may not apply during Festivals.)

Children 5-15 are $5. Children under 5 are free.

Yes. If you wish to enter the gardens, you will still be required to purchase a ticket.

Food & Drinks

As the cafe is located within the gardens, you are required to pay the entry fee if you wish to purchase or order food or beverages from the cafe.

We do offer dairy alternatives for milk and also have a range of gluten-free cakes, other options are subject to availability).

Unfortunately we do not allow outside food and beverages to be brought on-site, other than water and baby food. There is a cafe on-site selling a range of food and beverages.

General

Yes, we welcome your furry friends, however please ensure they are kept on a lead at all times.

You are welcome to take your own personal photos at Merribee. Should you wish to come to the gardens with the intention of having a photoshoot or to take professional photos, you will be required to pay a photoshoot fee. This allows you to book the gardens for an exclusive period of time. Your can view details and pricing here.

No. Due to Merribee being near a naval airbase there are certain restrictions that must be followed. Commercial photographers must contact our team to discuss.

Yes. At this stage Merribee is following the government guidelines in regards to vaccinations FOR COVID19, which means you are no longer required to be vaccinated to visit Merribee.

Lavender season is from late November to very early January, and normally we recommend visiting in mid to late December to see the lavender paddock in full bloom. Please see Calendar + Events Page

Rose season starts in mid-October and continues until June. (We prune in July.). October and early November are when the first flush appears!

Yes, we offer private tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays (minimum of 10 people). See our Private Tours page for more information.

Yes. The walkways at Merribee are gravel based and predominantly flat. We do also have ramps where required and a disabled toilet.

Yes. Merribee has a disabled toilet, along with ramps for easy accessibility.

The Little Store will be open from 10am-3pm on open days and sells a range of florals and handmade products. However, please be aware flowers are subject to seasonal availability.
