Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.  A queen-sized bed awaits you as well as a spacious living area with ample seating.  (Two single beds are also available).  A kitchenette, portable stovetop and a small fridge, as well as a wonderful Breville coffee machine and cooking utensils, including saucepans are in the open plan kitchenette.

Complimentary soaps in the bathroom and a light breakfast is provided all to make Villa Parterre your ‘home away from home.’

The Space
The Villa Parterre has been designed for very easy and comfortable living, allowing the outdoors to come in.  The open plan living area is very large, and comfortably decorated with an eclectic mix of sofas, chairs, tables and different areas in which to sit, relax and contemplate life!

Sleep soundly in a comfortable Queen-sized bed.  There is a privacy screen to delineate the bedroom from the living space, along with a floor to ceiling mirror. 

A large kitchenette area is in one part of the living space.  It has a double porcelain sink, a small fridge and plenty of storage.  Please note that whilst it has saucepans, a frying pan, and crockery, cutlery and glassware for 4 people in total, it does not have an oven - only a portable electric stovetop.  A light breakfast is provided. 

With a marble topped vanity, plenty of towels provided, the bathrooms looks through ferns and orchids and over the kitchen garden to the outdoor fireplace.  There is a shower and bathroom in the toilet. There is a dressing/storage room near the bathroom.

Help yourself to kindling and timber from the woodpile for the fire during winter, or stay cool with air conditioning in the heat of summer. Enjoy the barista-made coffee and cakes on ‘Open Days or Festival Days at Merribee also!

Guest Access
Villa Botanica is self-contained and for the exclusive use of guests staying. You will have access to the 7 acres of gardens at Merribee, including use of the tennis court.

Please note the owners live on the property and other guests may be staying concurrently in Villa Parterre and The Silo. (listed separately).

The Gardens
The Merribee gardens have distinct seasons, always with something happening or flowering. We have approximately 600 rose bushes which flower continuously from late October to late June before being pruned in July. This includes a Heritage Rose Garden with 100 roses from ancient times through to the modern David Austin Roses. We have kilometres of hedging, numerous botanical “rooms”, pleached Chinese Elms and Oaks on a main avenue, and a Lavender Paddock which flowers late November through January.

Neighbourhood
Merribee is surrounded by 3 100-acre dairy farms at Numbaa, located in the middle of the Shoalhaven district, within a 15-30 minute drive to Culburra Beach, Callala Beach, Huskisson, Cambewarra, Kangaroo Valley, Berry, Gerroa and Gerringong.

Merribee is 2.5 hours from Sydney and Canberra and 1 hour from Bowral.
